On summer nights, buildings are lit by iridescent lights, as the breeze blows along the Nanming River in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, and the new landmarks of the city's old urban areas become gathering places for both locals and tourists.

Guiyang is continuously introducing new cultural tourism landmarks and business models, with the Xinyin 1950 business district officially opening to the public on May 25. The transformed old printing factory quickly lured tens of thousands of people.

The factory was abandoned several years ago after the relocation of Guizhou Xinhua Printing Factory Co, but after two years of repositioning and rebuilding, it has become a brand-new business district integrating catering, bookstores, printing museums, cultural tourism, retail, bars, and outdoor activities.

Qingyun Market, renovated in the same way, has become a crowded night market as restaurants and food stalls emit mesmerizing smells, stimulating the taste buds of passersby.

The launch ceremony for the Taiping Road of Yunyan district was held in January. The road renewal project began in March 2023, with a total construction area of 4.59 hectares, including Taiping Road, Datong Street, and Longjing and Shajing alleys.

These new consumption landmarks have made Guiyang a more vibrant city.
