Multinational companies visit Guizhou

A business delegation of multinational companies visited Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, for an investment promotion event on July 15.

The event was held with the joint sponsorship of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of the Ministry of Commerce, the China Association of Enterprise with Foreign Investment, and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce.

The visiting delegation consisted of senior executives from 25 multinational companies with a presence in China.

Huang Chenghong, head of the Guiyang Municipal Business Bureau, Zhou Qin, deputy head of the Bureau, and representatives of the districts, economic development zone, high-tech zone, comprehensive bonded zone, and Shuanglong New Area, welcomed the guests at the promotion event.

They also organized a tour of local companies such as Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co., Ltd. and Manbang Group.

The event was addressed by deputy governor of Guizhou Lu Yongzheng, head of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of the Ministry of Commerce Tang Wenhong, and vice-chairman of CAEFI Cao Hongying.

Keynote speakers included deputy mayor of Guiyang and head of the Management Committee of the Guiyang Economic Development Zone Tang Xinglun, head of the Management Committee of Guian New Area Geng Guigang, and deputy head of Management Committee of Zunyi Economic Development Zone Xie Guolei. 

Xu Qiang, deputy CEO of Manbang Group, as a representative of domestic enterprises, briefed the visiting executives on the city's overall development. Delegation member Tuo Jianliang, vice-president of Evonik China, spoke about the company's investment plans.

During the visit to Jonyang Kinetics and Manbang Group in the Guiyang Economic Development Zone, the visiting executives learnt in detail about their operations and held in-depth discussions with the hosts. Both sides said they look forward to investing in Guiyang and Guizhou to share the growth dividends of the high-speed development in the region.
