Business delegations of Southwest China's Guizhou province brought 105 project proposals for investment to the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is ongoing in Shanghai until Nov 10.

Over 2,000 people representing Guizhou's companies and public institutions spanning various areas are attending the expo and are looking forward to reaching more business agreements than last year.

So far, Guizhou's business delegations have prepared supply and demand match making meetings for department stores, supermarkets, and purchasers in the province to expand their import scale.

Guizhou has focused on countries and regions with the most trade contacts, such as Germany, the United Kingdom (UK), Japan, the Czech Republic, and the United States, selecting 800 key target exhibitors to match with Guizhou's import demands.

In addition, Guizhou created positive engagements with the Department of Taiwan, the Ministry of Commerce of Hong Kong and Macao, the British embassy to China, the UK-China CEO Council, as well as famous foreign companies through various investment symposiums.

During the first CIIE, Guizhou sent 1,835 people from 851 companies and public institutions, who signed business agreements totaling 3.82 billion yuan ($545.6 million).
