News from bureau of statistics of Guiyang on Sept 6 showed that from January to July of 2021, Guiyang had maintained a preferential development momentum, and had enjoyed a steady growth in economy.
In terms of industrial output, mining enterprises above designated size registered an increase in added value of 1.7 percent, while manufacturing firms above designated size rose by 8.5 percent year-on-year in added value. Among the 36 industrial sectors in Guiyang, 23 posted positive growth, pulling up the industrial added value by 13.3 percentage points. The pull from the equipment manufacturing sector was particularly powerful.
In addition, Guiyang's wholesale, retail, catering, and accommodation businesses registered 128.03 billion yuan ($19.2 billion) in total sales revenue, up 17.4 percent year-on-year, with retail business above designated size hitting 51.75 billion yuan in sales.
Over the same period, Guiyang's general public budget income stood at 26.29 billion yuan, while tax revenue reached 20.49 billion yuan. Furthermore, the city's general public budget expenditure was 32.1 billion yuan.
By the end of July, outstanding of deposits of all financial institutions in Guiyang reached 1.31 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5 percent.
All forms of consumption except for food, cigarettes, wine, and clothing enjoyed different degrees of increases.
