Sept 23 marks the sixth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival. To celebrate, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province launched a series of activities on this day.

This year's activities are divided into four levels and comprise 23 activities. The main activity at the province level is set for Sept 23 in Damu village, Xiuwen county, and nine sub-activities will be held one after the other. The municipal main activity will be held in Xiaopo village, Qingzhen city and followed by four sub-activities.

The third level is seven sub-activities held by municipal departments such as the Guiyang Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Guiyang Bureau of Sports. The fourth is three sub-venue activities held in Wudang district, Baiyun district and Guanshanhu district.

From Sept 14 to 17, Guiyang and Gui'an will hold an agricultural product showcasing event to prepare for the main activities. Related agricultural product promotional activities, sporting events, and agricultural-product-picking events will last until November.

Focusing on the theme of "celebrating a bumper harvest and promoting harmony and beauty", the video at the provincial main venue will present the busy scenes of the grain machinery harvesting in the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, kiwifruit orchard base in Xiuwen, unveiling of scientific and technological personnel, and Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Park.

It is expected to fully demonstrate the prosperity of Guizhou's agricultural industry, rural ecological beauty, and the lives of farmers.
