"Our company has a batch of goods that must be shipped urgently. We hope to receive your assistance in completing the local inspection as soon as possible and obtaining the dangerous goods packaging certificate so that the goods can be shipped on time," said Wu Hang, the head of Guizhou Haina Energy Storage Technology Co, as he called the customs of Guian New Area.

There are specific regulations from the government regarding the packaging and transportation of lithium batteries, which involve more procedures and longer timeframes for local inspections than regular goods.

To address this issue, the customs of Guian has compressed the inspection process to one day. They also guided the company in printing electronic documents.

"With the assistance of the customs, we successfully met the shipping deadline. We have already completed exports worth over 90 million yuan ($12.55 million)," Wu Hang said.

The customs of the Guian New Area have been supporting the export of lithium batteries, new energy passenger vehicles, and solar panels. They conducted in-depth research and visits to critical enterprises to fully understand these companies' product characteristics, development status, and concentrated shipment schedules. They also provided timely answers and clarification on common concerns related to regulatory policies and certificate application processes.

Additionally, the customs have implemented convenient measures such as destination inspections, on-the-spot inspections, 24-hour appointed customs clearance, and electronic issuance of inspection and quarantine certificates.

This year, the export volume of lithium battery products of Guian New Area has grown more than 15 times compared to the previous year. From January to October, its export value exceeded 100 million yuan.
