Big Data Expo 2024 to be held in Guiyang on Aug 28-30

At the "Promoting High-quality Development" press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 22, Liu Liehong, head of the National Data Administration, said that the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024 will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 28-30.

The National Data Administration is currently working with Guizhou province to prepare for the expo and hopes that people from all walks of life will pay attention to and participate in it.

Liu said that this year's Big Data Expo is hosted by the National Data Administration for the first time, with the Guizhou Provincial People's Government as the organizer.

The expo will focus on professional exhibitions, complemented by achievement releases, industry exchange activities, and a series of special events.

The aim is to further promote the high-quality development of the digital economy, unleash the potential of data, support the construction of Digital China, and propel the data industry to the next level.

When asked about the differences between the Big Data Expo 2024 and previous editions, Liu emphasized that this year's expo will highlight professionalism.

It will invite relevant national ministries to release a series of high-level, distinctive, and influential industry research reports, technical standards, and typical cases. The National Data Administration will also carry out a series of outcome releases.

The expo will focus on three main directions: new paths for the digital economy, a data infrastructure system, and data empowerment, with activities centered around industrial development, data space, international cooperation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, data circulation, digital governance, digital rural areas, collaborative computing power, data security, and other themes, selecting and releasing major leading technological achievements.

The Big Data Expo 2024 will emphasize its service orientation, continuing to put enterprises in the spotlight and host a variety of activities, such as product introductions, business negotiations, cooperation exchanges, and experiential activities. The expo aims to build bridges and offer cooperation opportunities to more enterprises, both domestic and international.

In terms of exhibition diversity, the Big Data Expo 2024 will focus on presenting a variety of exhibits revolving around the theme "high-quality development of the digital economy".

It will feature six main exhibition areas: digital industry, the integration of the digital and real worlds, data transaction, digital governance, digital infrastructure, and data security.

Domestic and international sectors and institutions related to data, industry, agriculture and finance will be invited to participate, showcasing the latest developments, achievements, and trends in the domestic and international data industries, as well as allowing various sectors of society to gain tangible benefits from the expo.
