As summer heats up, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area has become a popular destination for tourists nationwide, thanks to its refreshing average temperature of 23 C.

The area is fostering a vibrant nighttime economy, boosting consumer activity and making nightlife more dynamic and colorful.

From July 1 to Aug 31, Yunman Lake Park will be offering free entry to all visitors from 5 pm to 11 pm. This initiative has attracted a significant influx of tourists, leading to a substantial increase in park attendance and a flourishing nighttime economy. Visitors can enjoy music, explore the beach, and savor the enchanting midsummer nights.

"The park has a different charm at night. It's incredibly relaxing to stroll through the lush greenery, listen to music, and feel the cool breeze," said Qin Yong, a visitor from Chongqing.

The Yunman Lake International Ecological Tourism Resort, a national 4A scenic spot, features a 500-mu (33.33 hectares) pristine lake, 1,100 mu of evergreen lawns, and over 50 recreational facilities. It has become a popular destination for family outings, university students, and outdoor enthusiasts.

"We are continuously enriching our summer activities to keep the holiday market vibrant", said Long Bo, head of the park's marketing center.

Long added that the park aims to explore new tourism models, diversify nighttime offerings, and improve services in dining, accommodation, transportation, shopping, and entertainment to create standout night tourism attractions.

Summer nights are also enlivened by bustling street markets. Jingcai City Night Market, for example, comes alive with vibrant food stalls, filling the air with the aroma of delicious food.

The tourism boom has sparked changes in Chetian village. While its natural beauty and rural charm are showcased during the day, it comes alive at night with a variety of activities, including bonfire parties at the village's campsite, which accommodates up to 360 people.

"We host bonfire parties every Saturday night during the summer holidays", said Chen Sishu, who manages the camping base.

The village is also introducing creative elements like firework shows and extending the operating hours of local farmhouses to offer nighttime dining services, and it has strengthened nighttime patrols and safety reminders to ensure a safe environment.

Zhang Zhongping, the village's Party secretary, noted that authorities will continue to upgrade tourism offerings, promoting the branding and standardization of rural tourism to provide visitors with a richer and more diverse travel experience.
