The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guiyang Sub-Council and the ASEAN International Trade and Investment Promotion Association signed a memorandum of understanding on Dec 18 in Shanghai.
The agreement aims to foster practical cooperation in cultural tourism, tourism products, and trade collaboration. It also seeks to explore the potential for economic and trade exchanges, expand trade, and promote bilateral investment between Guiyang and ASEAN countries.
On the same day, the Guiyang CCPIT delegation visited the Shanghai representative office of the ASEAN ITIPA. Both parties discussed how to enhance cooperation between Guiyang and ASEAN enterprises.
A representative from Guiyang CCPIT stated that this cooperation provides Guiyang enterprises with broader market access and development opportunities and marks a new chapter in economic and trade cooperation between Guiyang and ASEAN countries.
An official from the ASEAN ITIPA expressed optimism about the prospects for cooperation with Guiyang, noting that the province has tremendous economic development potential, especially in cultural tourism and food processing.
The Guiyang CCPIT delegation also toured Changyang Campus in Shanghai and held discussions with Xi Rongqing, the campus president. They explored potential cooperation between Guiyang enterprises and the campus, intending to introduce Guiyang's cuisine, specialty products, and tourism goods to Shanghai and expand into international markets.
