Guiyang buses enter Saudi Arabian market

Chery & Wanda Guizhou Bus Co has achieved a major milestone by exporting its first batch of buses to Saudi Arabia.

The shipment of 85 buses, valued at over 70 million yuan ($9.75 million), departed from Guiyang on April 2, marking the first large-scale entry of "Guizhou-made" buses into the Middle Eastern market.

Chery & Wanda began designing models for the Middle East in 2024, when Saudi clients forged a partnership with the company, resulting in an order for 85 buses. Expectations are high for additional orders exceeding 200 buses this year.

To facilitate the export process, authorities have streamlined procedures to issue temporary licenses for the new buses, enhancing convenience and reducing costs.

A local official highlighted that this export achievement broadens the company's foreign trade and establishes a crucial platform for "Guiyang-made" products to penetrate international markets.

As a leading representative of Guiyang manufacturing, Chery & Wanda has utilized its advanced bus manufacturing technology and stringent quality control to enter markets in East Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
