The Guiyang automotive and auto parts booth at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha, Hunan province, drew significant attention from African buyers on June 12.
The booth showcased products from eight companies, including Guizhou Tyre and Zhonghui Heavy Industry, and featured commercial vehicles, specialty vehicles, auto parts, and services from Guiyang's used car export base.
Guizhou Tyre presented three tire categories for construction machinery, heavy-duty trucks, and transport equipment. Having established partnerships with over 40 African countries and regions, the company's exports to Africa in 2024 was $58 million.

"We hope to meet more African partners through this expo, find stronger local companies, and form strategic partnerships to further expand China-Africa trade," said Zhang Yu, manager of Guizhou Tyre's Africa Division.
Following a product review, Wang, a client from Nigeria's SinoTrust Motos & Machineries, expressed plans to visit Guiyang for further discussions.
China's used car exports have expanded significantly in recent years. Africa has a strong demand for used cars, and Chinese models are gaining popularity due to their cost-effectiveness, rich features, and adaptability.
A representative from the Guiyang bureau of commerce said, "We aim to use the fair to create efficient connections between Guiyang enterprises and African buyers. This will serve as a bridge to expand and deepen cooperation in the used car sector, supporting strategic growth and long-term development in emerging markets."
