Craft beer culture flourishes in Guiyang

In the winding alleys of Guiyang, a vibrant craft beer culture has blossomed, boasting a remarkable array of over 1,200 artisanal beer bars.

Celebrated for its meticulous craftsmanship, diverse flavors, and cultural significance, craft beer is establishing itself as a key player in the city's dynamic beverage landscape.

It is integrating into the tapestry of everyday life in Guiyang, evolving into a defining element of the city's cultural identity. Among the innovative establishments, Panda Brew stands out for offering a unique, immersive experience that combines craft beer, cinema, and light bites, becoming a popular social hub among urban professionals.

"We do more than just sell alcohol; we offer a haven where people can disconnect from their devices and engage in meaningful conversations," said Ouyang Li, manager of Panda Brew.

Another pioneer of Guiyang's craft beer scene, TripSmith, captivates patrons with a diverse selection of house-brewed beers paired with a tantalizing range of dishes, from savory beef rice noodles to local delicacies.

Shen Gaobin, founder of Hummer Craft Beer, shared insights into the city's abundant brewing ingredients, including prickly pear, earleaf acanthopanax, and Chinese galangal.

Hammer Craft Brewing has forged partnerships with over 70 bars in Guizhou province, generating an impressive 48 million yuan ($6.68 million) in annual craft beer sales.
