Guizhou province made a significant impact at the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) by hosting a new energy industry exchange event.

The event saw participation from numerous leading enterprises and highlighted Guizhou's achievements and opportunities in the burgeoning new energy sector.

Jiang Jun, deputy general manager of Guiyang Silu Auto Technology Co, emphasized the company's strategic advantages as part of the China (Guiyang) Used Car Export Base. "The base offers a wealth of industrial resources, from vehicle inspection and preparation to logistics, forming a complete and efficient industrial chain. We are eager to establish partnerships with more stakeholders in the new energy vehicle sector."

Xiong Xiaofu, overseas business manager at Guizhou Changjiang Energy Vehicle Co, underscored the company's strengths as Chery's commercial vehicle production base in southwest China.

"Our company is expanding into Southeast Asia. At this event, our goal is to connect with three to five potential clients and engage in in-depth discussions with enterprises in the supply chain."

Cao Yuteng, founder of PIX Moving Co, highlighted that the company's autonomous minibuses are operational in nearly 30 countries and over 10 cities in China. "This event has provided us with targeted connections to numerous potential clients and partners, opening up more collaboration opportunities."

Guizhou has been building its "Electric Guizhou" brand, demonstrating strong momentum in cultivating leaders in the new energy industry. In 2024, the province saw accelerated development across new energy battery materials, power batteries, and new energy vehicles.

The production of lithium-ion batteries increased by 6 percent year-on-year, while new energy vehicle production surged 30-fold.
