From Sept 14 to 17, Vannada Phomasthit, CEO of Laos Dao Coffee, led a delegation to Guiyang to explore opportunities for collaboration across the coffee industrial chain.
This visit marks the first significant engagement by a leading Laotian coffee enterprise since Guiyang and Pakse formalized their sister-city relationship in September 2024.
The delegation met with local coffee brands, including Captain George and Element Coffee. Discussions centered on green bean trade, cross-border coffee product development, coffee brewing technology exchange, and professional training.
Phomasthit said, "Guiyang offers a diverse range of coffee varieties and boasts a dynamic market and deep-rooted coffee culture, providing ample space for deepening cooperation between our regions."
A representative from the Guiyang Coffee Association emphasized that Guiyang aims to strengthen collaboration with Pakse across all segments of the coffee industrial chain. The objective is to cultivate premium international coffee products and enhance the global competitiveness of both regions' coffee industries.
