Guiyang's economy demonstrated remarkable stability and quality growth in the first three quarters of the year, with GDP reaching 414.89 billion yuan ($58.24 billion), a 5.1 percent year-on-year increase.
The primary industry contributed 17.46 billion yuan, up 4.9 percent; the secondary industry saw a 5.8 percent increase, totaling 130.97 billion yuan; and the tertiary industry expanded by 4.7 percent, contributing 266.46 billion yuan.
The agricultural sector reported a total output of 27.49 billion yuan, marking a 5.0 percent increase over the previous year. Forestry surged by 10.7 percent, and fisheries experienced a robust growth of 22.5 percent.
Industrial growth was strong, with the value-added of large-scale industries increasing by 10.2 percent year on year.
The service sector also expanded by 4.7 percent, fueled by a 7.5 percent rise in transportation, warehousing, and postal services. Wholesale and retail industries increased by 6.0 percent, while accommodation and catering sectors rose by 5.4 percent.
The postal services sector saw substantial growth, with total business volume increasing by 26.8 percent and express delivery services soaring by 31.2 percent.
Consumer spending also remained robust, with total retail sales of consumer goods reaching 178.20 billion yuan, a 4.9 percent increase year on year. Notably, retail sales by larger enterprises alone accounted for 91.35 billion yuan, up 15.3 percent.
Income levels also trended upward, with urban residents' per capita disposable income reaching 40,346 yuan, an increase of 4.3 percent. Rural residents saw even higher growth at 5.5 percent, with per capita disposable income at 20,555 yuan.
