Eighteen companies from Guiyang showcased products in advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials and precision electronics in Phase 1 of the 140th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), seeking to expand their reach in global markets.
Guizhou Tyre Co, a veteran exhibitor with more than 50 appearances at the fair, received a commemorative medal marking the event's 70th anniversary. Showcasing its full product range, the company secured multiple orders in principle from buyers in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia on the opening day, supported by its manufacturing capabilities and localized delivery operations.
Guizhou Zhonghui Heavy Industry Co presented two flagship products developed in-house: a retro-style recreational jeep and an all-terrain off-road vehicle. The company is targeting markets in Europe, the United States and Oceania for its recreational model, while its off-road vehicle is designed for diverse operating conditions worldwide.
Guizhou Jonyang Kinetics Co also drew interest with its powered exoskeleton products, reaching preliminary agreements on orders with prospective customers in South Korea, Singapore and Russia.
Established in 1957, the Canton Fair is one of China's longest-running and largest international trade events. Since Guiyang first organized a provincial delegation in 1983, companies from the city have participated nearly 3,000 times, using the fair to connect with international buyers.
A representative of Guiyang bureau of commerce said the bureau will continue to help local businesses expand their international presence, diversify overseas markets and raise the profile of "Guiyang Intelligent Manufacturing".
